Hi Lexi. I don't know the calorie count. I would say the only thing that would make the calories higher would be the rice and some of the toppings. You could always use quinoa and leave off the cheese and sour cream. That's my best guess as far as calories go. The recipe makes enough for about 6 servings. Wish I could be of more help....., 30 minute meal. Prepare and chop your toppings while the meat mixture simmers. Put the rice in the rice cooker or on the stove top first thing. You want to make sure you are simmering the meat mixture for at least 15 minutes. It will seem like too much liquid at first but as it simmers on the stove the flavor develops and it will thicken up. I usually end up simmering mine for closer to 20-25 minutes to get the consistency I want.The key to these turkey taco burrito bowls is to let the meat simmer for as long as you can. The biggest negative I get about this recipe is that the meat mixture is soupy. The only reason it's soupy is because it was not simmered on the stove top long enough. The longer it simmers, green onion…. the list could go on and on. By the time the rice is done the meat has been simmering for about 25 minutes and it's perfect., and 1 teaspoon granulated sugar. Stir together and pour over the hot rice when it's done cooking. Stir to combine and fluff the rice.
